I began my career as a sculptor exhibiting works at the Heckscher Museum. The Islip Art
Museum, the Mid-Hudson Arts and Science Center, the Nassau County Museum of Art.
and the Redford Gallery.  I was always intrigued by shapes and unique materials, so
that it was intuitive that I transformed this fascination into smaller work.  The outcome
was sculptural necklaces that focus on the intricacies of crochet, and knots which fasten
together diverse materials such as buffalo horn, lava, rubber, and ultrasuede.   Working
with my colleague, Andrea Ohlsson, a talented crocheter with a refined sense of color
we formed Verinique Chic.  Our jewelry was sold privately, and was featured at an East
Hampton, NY store.
