RICKY BERNSTEIN

Ricky’s art pieces can be found in many Museum collections throughout the US and many of the same colors are used in the Penrose jewelry line. His colorful jewelry is made with his own hand-blown glass beads, fresh water pearls with accents and clasps in sterling silver, and 14K gold vermeil. The glass accent beads and crystals are all made in Europe.

The gold-flecked, sparkling beads are made by rolling the hot glass in a gold dust. Then covering that shimmering layer with clear glass to protect the gold and give the beads a vivid, luminescent quality. The geometric glass beads are meticulously cut, machine tumbled and fire-polished to 1400 degrees. Tumbling the beads rounds the edges and makes them look like beach glass. The heat of the fire polish, once again adds luster, clarity and durability. The end result is a collection of fun and comfortable timeless jewelry that will give pleasure for years to come.
